PR Intern
We are looking for someone early in their writing career to help tell the SomyaLabs story. We do not ask for a CV or a cover letter, because neither tells us much at this stage. We ask for one piece of writing instead.

Write one post
Write it from the perspective of SomyaLabs, as though it were going out on our blog under our name.
Why API-based TTS and ASR won't be the long-term solution for enterprise Voice AI in India, and why on-device / on-prem speech models are the future.
Who you are writing for
Voice AI founders, CTOs, and developers. Assume your reader already knows what TTS and ASR are, has opinions about latency and cost, and will notice if a technical claim is hand-waved. Write to that reader rather than around them.

What we are reading for
Four things, in no particular order. We read every submission properly.
Original insight
Something you worked out yourself rather than repeated. The obvious takes on this are already everywhere, so tell us what you noticed that they missed.
Clarity of thought
A reader should be able to restate your argument after one pass. Structure and plain sentences carry more weight here than style.
Technical understanding
You do not need a background in ML, and we are not expecting you to have built any of this. You do need to understand what you are claiming well enough that a CTO reading it would not wince.
Authenticity of writing
Your voice, not a house voice, and not a model's. We would rather read something rough and yours than something polished and anonymous. We can tell the difference.
